Merry Christmas!!

I know I'm a bit late with the festive greetings but I did want to share an awesome and very basic print and cut I did on my cougar. I used these as my Christmas name tags this year. They came up beautifully!! Easily mass produced and delightfully quick and easy to make.
I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and that you enjoyed good food, good friends and lots of laughs!
Stay tuned for news of my new toy....it is AMAZING!!!!!!

Hello everyone,

It seems like FOREVER since I've posted on my little piece of cyber real estate. I have so much to share it's hard to know where to begin!! I'll start with a card.

I made this butterfly card for our little card swap group. For the splatter coloured card stock I used a spritz tool and just some cheapo markers and spritzed away. I love this effect and will be doing it again very soon! My butterfly is a print and cut using my new toy. Keep an eye out for coming posts about him :) See how close I got to his outline, and all with no fudge line either!! Awesome and dead easy compared to a regular gazelle print and cut. The sentiment was cut from vinyl. It's a little hard to tell from the picture but it is almost hair thin in some places. AMAZING detail! My butterfly was coloured in with my Spica pens. All shiny and shimmery. A bead of crystal effects for his body and your done.

Stayed tuned over the next couple of days to see what new goodies I have to play with and to see some more card creations as well!

Cheers,

white card stock challenge

Hey everyone,

here's a card I did for a challenge where you were only allowed to used white card stock and 1 other medium only. My other medium was H2O's.

Everything you see here was cut out using my Gazelle difital die cutter. including the rose and the paper lace ribbon. Pretty cool huh?

The rose and leaves were coloured with H2O's.

The rose file is from My Time Made Easy and the lattice and ribbon are Monica Bjork files (she does some amazing work!!)

This card was so easy to make and only took about 30 minutes to make not including waiting for the H2O's to dry. Impressive hey?

Have a fabulous day!

another card!

Here's another card I made today using that same gorgeous cardstock I used for the flower below. Everything here was cut out on gazza including the sentiment that was a print and cut. Too easy!!

Cheers,

a whole day of crafting!!!

Well I have managed to get a whole lot of crafting done today, kid is back at school and I don't start back at work until tomorrow so I made the most of my time!

Here's a card I did for the monthly challenge I'm currently involved in. The theme was "spring" so I decided to do a spring card :) I am thrilled at how it turned it. I can just imagine this as a card for a granny, something about the colours. Anyways, everything was cut out on gazza, except the bling in the middle of the flower and the butterfly. The word bloom was cut from gold vinyl. The flower was cut using some paper I bought from Dean last year. You can't see it in the picture but it has a lovely lustre to it, almost metallic. It's gorgeous!!

Have a fab day!

waterfall card

Here's the zoo themed card I made for this months card challenge.

I got the pattern from splitcoaststampers and made up the file using funtime. The images are all print and cuts using gazza. I also learnt how to use the x y axis function to put in my score lines on the pull down part of the card. SOOOOO easy when you know how!

Looking at the card now I probably should have said Just for ZOO instead of you :)

I love waterfall cards. They are really easy to make and very effective with the right images.

Enjoy,

All things Girlie!

I'm currently involved in a card swap with some ladies from the gazelle/pazzles owners yahoo group and this months theme was "All things Girlie". This is the card I came up with. The stamp is a free digital stamp from Broken Box Stamps. I rearranged the sentiment and using the funtime software I made the word fabulous curve around the oval and then got gazza to cut the whole lot out. Pretty cool huh?!? I colored this g\fabulous lady with my water color pencils and crystal glazed her dress and shoes. The flower is a prisma flower.

I'm usually running late with these swaps but I've even managed to finish next months card!! Over the weekend I'm moving my craft room back to where it should be so everything will be all organized again and I can really get stuck into some card making. I can't wait!! I think I might even find some blog candy to give away! So keep an eye out:)

Cheers and thanks for looking,

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the fabulous Mum's out there!!

Here's my Mother's Day card for my MIL. I am really impressed at how this card turned out. It is one of the most basic cards I've ever made but I think it looks amazing (if I say so myself!)

Everything except the flower and bow was cut out using my gazelle, including the word MUM which was cut from gold vinyl. Inside the card is layered gold then white with gold vinyl saying Happy Mother's Day. I did take a pic of the inside of the card but my computer has go slow Sundays happening and won't let me publish it. I'll try again later.

I hope everyone has a fabulous day celebrating being a mum :)

Exploding box

Here's an exploding box I did at the request of a friend as a going away gift for a friend of hers. My apologies about the upside down pictures but I'm just learning about my new iPad and it's glitches, like upside down photo's!! Hopefully you'll get the idea!!!

Female Ingenuity at it's best?

I was surfing the net the other night and visited one of my all time favorite blogs, Becca's Amazing Paper Grace (if you haven't checked out her site you just HAVE to, she is an amazing lady with an amazing talent), anyways, she had made her own peg board bow maker which makes tying professional looking bows a breeze!! Apparently I'm a little behind with this knowledge, but once I saw Becca use her bow maker I just had to have one NOW!!
Mind you this was at about 10 o'clock last night, and with Bunnings closed I had to use my female ingenuity, and I came up with this.
Very rudimentary but it works!! Ok, so the pencils wobble around a little bit and transfer tape isn't overly sticky to keep the pencils straight but it did the job :)
Hubby now has the measurements needed to make me my own peg board bow maker.
I'll post an update when he's finished it.

Cheers for now,

One page wonder!

Ok, I'm on a roll today!! Here's a file I made on Gazza and I'm calling the one page wonder. The pictures above are in back-to-front order but you get the idea:) I cut the circle and the score lines out on my Gazelle and then using a combination of mountain and valley folds created this little gift box. The best part is NO GLUE NEEDED!! Imagine the ways you could embellish this little beauty! Once again, if you'd like a WPC file of this then just leave a comment and then email me and I'll get it off to you ASAP.

Thanks for looking!!

Butterfly treat box

Here's a cute little treat box I've been working on today. It was my dad's wedding on Saturday and unfortunately I was too sick to attend because of a migraine, but hubby bought me home a little bonbonierrie (SP?) and I just knew I had to make it!! I'm going to be using these as little treat boxes for everyone who makes a purchase from De-Signs Made By Me! at the Paperific Expo that's on at the Melbourne Show Grounds April 1st-3rd. So make sure you drop on by and say hello, you might just end up walking away with a Gazelle!!! OHHHHHH!!!! for those of you interested the price of a Gazelle has come way down and Alisa now has them at the UNBELIEVABLE price of ONLY $650 (plus P&H if needed). I am so not happy Jan considering I paid $890 for my pink baby. You can check out Alisa's website for more info.

Cheers,

shell xoxo

P.S. if you'd like this file in WPC format just email me after leaving a comment and I'll shoot it off to you asap :)

Ladybug wishes

Here's another card I did this week. My son has yet another 6th birthday party to go to this weekend (He has a better social life than me!!) and this little girl loves ladybugs. The card is a file I downloaded from a very talented lady called Monica. You can find her wonderful cutting files here. All her files are gorgeous and sooooo detailed and they cut beautifully on gazza.
The lady bugs were simply cut from cardstock and the red bits coated with a big dollop of crystal effects. Soooo cute! I loved the way they turned out.
I also have to thank Alex, another gazza addict, for her fabulous vine cutting file :) The flowers were just cut out and shaped with an embossing tool.

Have a great day!

Wedding Card

Here's the card I made for my dad's wedding next weekend. The colour scheme is gold and his wife to be loves butterflies.
Everything here was cut out on Gazza, including the printed and cut Mr & Mrs label. I used a cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder as well.

Have a great day,

My first real creation since Christmas!!

Here's my first real card creation since before Christmas! A little girl from my sons year level was having a 6th birthday party and she loves butterflies, so I came up with this little creation. I really like cards that go off the edges like the wings and the scalloped edged. Everything you see here was cut on my trusty Gazelle, except for the prima flower.

Cheers,

OMG!!! Another year has gone past, and another lot of New Years' resolutions have been made :) I hope you all have had a fabulous Festive Season, whatever it is you celebrate, filled with love, laughter, friends and family. May 2011 bless you with good health, love and happiness.

I found these gorgeous little hydrangia flowers over on Penny Duncan's blog and thought I'd give them a go. I'm not sure mine are as pretty as Penny's! They were really easy to make. I improvised with the 1/2 sphere by using dry florists foam scooped out melon baller style with a 1tsp sized measuring spoon. Everything was cut out on gazza and I used an embossing folder called cottage floral.

Once again you need to excuse my photography. I finished this card at 11pm and being the impatient person I am, I just HAD to put it on my blog tonight!

Have a wonderful day!
