Yet another Tilda!

Here's another Tilda card I did for a friends 18th birthday. I really like the black matting on the words. The glitter words really had me worried. The paper has a kind of slick backing on it and I was dreading it not sticking to the gazelle mat properly, so I helped it along by running some snail adhesive at intervals just to give it some extra staying power!!
The card base, the words and matting are all cut using gazza. Tilda is coloured in using the Stampin' Up! wonder watercolour crayons. The little glitter flowers are by Heidi Grace and I did some faux stitching using my Stabilo White Gel roller pen. On the inside of the card I cut out a border for the bottom edge in the same purple as the card mat using the fiskars "lazy summer" border punch.
Look out for more Tilda cards in the near future!! A friend (who shall henceforth be call "The Enabler") and I have ordered some Tilda and Edwin stamps from the UK. Check out http://www.sirstampalot.co.uk/ for some gorgeous stamps!!!
Till later,
Happy Stampin'!!

A Tilda Thank You!

Here's my most recent Tilda creation. I apologise in advance for the bad photography!! I really tried to get a pic of the shimmer/glitter of her wings, I think I need to learn patience and take pictures in natural daylight!!!
Everything except Tilda was cut using my Gazelle. I could have done the faux stitching as well but removed my card stock before I thought about it!!!
I'm really please with the colours and how she turned out. I'm also beginning to like the 'skewiff' look.
Have a wonderful day,

Tilda and "The Bug"

It's been an exciting week for me this week!! My new (to me) Cuttlebug arrived and I Tilda came home safe and sound to me after an extended visit to a friends place. Soooooooo...to celebrate their arrival I made this little Thinking of You card.
It's nothing special but I loved water colouring again!! Can you see I used the Paisley embossing folder with my bug?? Did I mention I LOVE my bug!! I'm eventually going to try my hand at making my own folders on my Gazelle...after I nail the print and cuts that is! I also used Gazza to cut out the scalloped oval and sentiment oval. It's so much easier if you put in your actual page measurements rather than the default 12x12 I always used. In this case the page was only 9x6cm and it made it so much easier to cut more accurately. I also used a Fiskars border punch, I think it's called "elegant".
I'm not sure you can see it here, but I also used a bit of dazzlin' diamonds on the embossed page and some pearls on the side border.
Did you notice everything is slightly off centre?? I am usually so anal about having everything centrally spaced I wanted to branch out and try something a tad different. I quite like the effect! It's not so 'ordered'. Oh...did you know that if you click on the picture it will open up larger ina new window so you can see the detail better?? I learnt that only today!!! LOL
Stay safe and happy crafting!!

Hi again!! I know it's been ages since I've blogged ANYTHING, but I'm back and hopefully will keep things a little more updated than I have been!!
Here's a card and matching shoe I made for a friends 40th birthday. The flowers were cut from designer paper from Kaszazz and the little flowers are from heidi grace designs. The glitter paper is what I picked up from the Paper show I went to with Alisa...it is just gorgeous. The photo doesn't do it justice!
Not sure if you can see it or not, but the black border on the card has been lined with diamontes as well. I've called this set "It's all about the bling" which suits my friend perfectly!!
Hope you like it!!
